The Maritime Institute is located on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. TMI is a career development organization, dedicated to maritime education and maritime vocational instruction for adults. Such instruction will lead to maritime careers as well as personal development.
TMI, serving as a component program of the Caribbean Institute for Training and Development – CITD – offers courses in:

Adults over the age of 18 are eligible for attendance in the courses with the exception of the Sailboat Racing courses (minimum age is 7). High school graduation is not necessary. Courses vary from five to ten weeks in length and emphasize hands-on learning.
Through this program, TMI will partner with Virgin Islands employers seeking qualified and trained individuals in maritime trades.
